Coronvirus (Covid19)

Dear Parents & Carers, As a Trust we are working closely together as a family of schools to manage the current crisis whilst adhering to government guidance and instruction. These are unprecedented times for everyone and we therefore appreciate your support in working together as whole school communities.

The latest guidance can be found at:

https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response

As you will be aware, this guidance can be subject to change on a daily basis and we strongly encourage you to keep yourselves up to date with this. Please ensure that you continue to contact us if your child is absent as we have a legal duty to account for all children. All Coronavirus related absence will be recorded under a special code.

Possible part closure/reduction in provision

Currently, schools are to remain open and we are committed to doing everything we can to maintain that. However, as increasing numbers of staff have to self-isolate it may not be possible to operate full provision. Head Teachers are responsible for risk-assessing their own schools on a daily basis which may result in us having to:

 close classes/year groups  alter start and finish times  close the whole school depending on the issue that presents itself at the time. Other areas that could be affected could be  catering and cleaning  wrap around care (Tree Tops is to remain open for now as it is an extension of the school day run by school staff)

All Clubs cancelled with immediate effect

As of TODAY all visitors/volunteers to the school will not be permitted access. So no more Reading Taskforce or cooking volunteers please.

There will be no further clubs run by outside agencies EG Pixel Gang/Hockey/Football/Netball/Gymnastic/Karate etc.

All Music Tuition is now suspended until further notice.

There will not be any more visitors into school from any social services, educational psychologists, Speech and Language therapists, counsellors etc again until all this is over.

We will not be going out of school on any trips. It is imperative that everyone reads the school emails every day and if you do not have an email registered with us that you sort this out tomorrow at the latest because after that we are unlikely to be communicating in anyway other than via Sims- in-Touch.

We will not be sending out Homework packs or SATs papers we will be communicating daily with Years 1-6 via myUSO.

Thank you for your ongoing understanding at this time.

Kindest regards as always

Mrs Debbie Allis Head Teacher
