Spring Disco - a celebration of friendships
The Spring Term Disco will take place on Friday 15th February 2019. The children may wear their own clothes to school - the theme being red.
The Disco, as always, will be in two sessions: The first session is for children in Reception, Years 1 & 2 starting at 3.20 until 4.30pm. The children will be escorted to the hall by their teacher at the end of school. Please pick up your child’s book bags, coats, etc. from their classroom BEFORE collecting your child at the end.
The second session is for children in Years 3,4,5 & 6 starting at 5.00 until 6.15pm. Please provide sensible footwear for the children, under no circumstances are Heeleys allowed. Mobile phones are also not allowed in the hall, they may be handed in and collected at the end.
Please note to ensure your child’s safety and security, all 1st session children must be collected at 4.30pm and 2nd session by 6.15pm by a parent or guardian only.
The disco is only for pupils of the school and will be supervised by volunteer Parents and Teachers.
The cost for each pupil is £4.00 payable by SIMS AGORA ONLY - includes disco entry, snacks (eg crisp, haribo hearts, an ice pop and a drink).
Consent/Emergency contact details are needed for health and safety reasons. By clicking the consent box in SIMS AGORA you will be consenting to your child attending the disco and to the school providing the PTA with your contact details in the event of an emergency or the non-collection of your child/ren.
Parent/Grandparent Helpers – we always need help to run the disco, without you we cannot go ahead! If you can help out, please email the PTA at firstname.lastname@example.org stating which session you can attend. We are always short on help for upper school, so your support would be greatly appreciated for this session to go ahead. We need extra help too as we will be offering little glitter tattoos to the children! So if this is something you can do please let us know.
For health and safety reasons, parent/grandparent helpers must ensure they (both sessions) and their own child/ren (second session only) are signed in as soon as you arrive. All helpers please be advised if you are helping for the 1st session, meet in the small hall at 2.50pm, and the 2nd session at 4.40pm where you sign in. You will not be contacted to confirm your attendance, so please just arrive at the times listed and you will be advised of your responsibility on the day. If you can help please email (as above) which session, your and your child’s name and class. We really appreciate your help!
Deadline for payment and offer of help is Thursday 14th February 2019 – PLEASE DO NOT HAND PAYMENT AND PERMISSION OVER ON THE DAY AS LISTS OF WHO ARE ALREADY ATTENDING IS COMPLETE FOR HEALTHY & SAFETY.
