How are you all doing?

How are you all doing? Loving the sunshine? I do hope that you are all healthy, keeping active and staying safe by observing social distancing rules. For those of you who have experienced the virus I trust that you are recovering well and that your nearest and dearest are looking after you. I do know that there are a couple of our families who have lost a loved one to this virus and to them I offer my most sincere condolences and say we are all thinking of you at this sad and difficult time.

Understandably, whilst we worry about our children, it is only natural that we too will have our own adult concerns which we are trying to manage and perhaps, at this time, we may feel more keenly and beyond our normal familiar personal coping mechanisms. I know the teachers have been calling you to have a chat and support with the home learning and hopefully to also speak to the children, I understand that these calls have been most warmly received. When the calls come in they will of course be from an unrecognised number since teachers will be calling from their own phones, so please do answer if you can.

With families in lockdown, within our individual household units, we will all be feeling the pressures of being together 24/7, and therefore, I thought it might be useful to share some information, links and tips that might be of help to us all, both emotionally and practically, during these unprecedented times.

As the Internet becomes ever more accessible, it is important to remember about using the Internet safely. The term e-safety is used to cover this area.

Good practices include, keeping your username and password safe and not sharing it with others, as well as, to tell a trusted adult if someone or something has made you uncomfortable or worried whilst on the Internet.
