On Thursday 22nd November 2018 the Boys football team went to play the Bromley Borough finals at Beckenham Country Cricket club. We played three games and the team played really well. Our first game was against Oak Lodge and the game was only seven minutes long so we had to move the ball very quickly. We kept trying to score but the opponents kept blocking our shots so they made the game really tough for us. But our defence was unstoppable! They did not even get near our goal! After the seven minutes the game ended a 0-0 draw.

Our next match was against Kent House- it was freezing, our whole bodies were as cold as ice! We started strong and we unfortunately hit the post three times. Joe, who was on fire, scored an amazing top corner goal, and put us in front. We stayed strong and Harley made some outstanding saves to keep us in the game- we couldn't have played without him! The team had many shots but the goalie just kept saving them. In the end, the game ended 1-0 to Wickham Common - all thanks to Joe's goal!

Our last game was against Hayes, this was our hardest game. It was really intense but we played with total commitment. Everyone worked their socks off but we just couldn't score! Time and time again we hit the crossbar. After the full seven minutes the game ended a goalless draw; we were so unlucky.

After all the matches had finished we had a presentation. Even though we played really well we did not manage to go through to the next level. However, we still came a fantastic 2nd place in the whole of Bromley! The morning (although freezing cold) was super enjoyable and we were proud of our massive achievement.
