School Disco and Own Clothes Day - 16 November


Own Clothes Day Friday 16 November - Tombola Exchange

The children may wear their own clothes on Friday 16 November, in return for a donation to one of our tombola stalls:

• Sweeties Tombola: ABSOLUTELY NO NUTS OR CHOCOLATE please. • Teddy Tombola: please bring along any unwanted, clean teddies or soft toys.

• Bottle Tombola: Alcoholic or non-alcoholic bottles welcome

Any of these would be wonderful!

School Disco Friday 16 November


Disco Session 1: Reception, Years 1 & 2

The Disco first session is for children in Reception, Years 1 & 2 starting at 3.20 until 4.30pm. The children will be escorted to the hall by their teacher at the end of school.

Please pick up your child’s book bags, coats, etc. from their classroom BEFORE collecting your child at the end.

Please note to ensure your child’s safety and security, all 1st session children must be collected at 4.30pm by a parent or guardian only.

Disco Session 2: Years 3,4,5 & 6

The second session Disco is for children in Years 3,4,5 & 6 starting at 5.00 until 6.15pm. Please provide sensible footwear for the children, under no circumstances are Heeleys allowed. Mobile phones are also not allowed in the hall, they may be handed in and collected at the end.

Please note to ensure your child’s safety and security, all 2nd session children must be collected by 6.15pm by a parent or guardian only.

Disco Payment by 14th November

The disco is only for pupils of the school and will be supervised by volunteer Parents and Teachers. The cost for each pupil is £4.00 payable by SIMS AGORA ONLY - includes disco entry, snacks (eg crisp, haribo and a drink). Visit SIMS AGORA to make payment.

Consent/Emergency contact details are needed for health and safety reasons. By clicking the consent box in SIMS AGORA you will be consenting to your child attending the disco and to the school providing the PTA with your contact details in the event of an emergency or the non-collection of your child/ren.

Parent/Grandparent Helpers for Disco

Parent/Grandparent Helpers – we always need help to run the disco, without you we cannot go ahead! If you can help out, please email the us PTA at discowickhamcommon@gmail.com stating which session you can attend. We are always short on help for upper school, so your support would be greatly appreciated for this session to go ahead.

As the Internet becomes ever more accessible, it is important to remember about using the Internet safely. The term e-safety is used to cover this area. 

Good practices include, keeping your username and password safe and not sharing it with others, as well as, to tell a trusted adult if someone or something has made you uncomfortable or worried whilst on the Internet.
