Onto Sports, our Hockey Team went to Langley Boys this week to play in a special mixed Hockey competition, they did extremely well coming 2nd in both their groups! We are very proud of them and grateful to Nigel Lovegrove and Mr Day for training our children so brilliantly. Whilst on the subject of ‘in-school-hours’ competitions, I feel it is important and hopefully helpful to explain to parents that on such occasions where perhaps half a day’s classroom learning has been missed it is essential that this key learning time is recouped. This is particularly relevant if that child is in year 6, so it may well be that they return from a hockey match and have to settle down for their missed Maths lesson – this is usual practice.

As the Internet becomes ever more accessible, it is important to remember about using the Internet safely. The term e-safety is used to cover this area.

Good practices include, keeping your username and password safe and not sharing it with others, as well as, to tell a trusted adult if someone or something has made you uncomfortable or worried whilst on the Internet.
