This week

Other activities this week have included 3 Poplar heading up to the Science Museum on an exciting and enlightening trip! Rev. John has delivered this week’s Faith assemblies. Our newest After School Club ‘Make Believe’ opened its doors on Wednesday evening – the turnout was unbelievable, the school was full of happy, confident, excited children singing, acting and dancing … I felt like I was on the set of ‘Fame’! Many of you may not remember this TV programme from my teen years but I loved it! What’s great about such activities is that children GROW in confidence so quickly and of course this has such a positive impact on their learning in all areas. If you haven’t tried it yet – find out more and give it a go!

We simultaneously ran a Year 6 SATs information evening for parents – the information shared was so helpful and informative I am certain that those present feel much better equipped now to support their child through this undoubtedly challenging experience. If you missed it please check out the new school website at www.wickhamcommonprimary.co.uk where you will find the teacher’s PowerPoint presentation in the Year 6 learning area.
